Kacie Ekela Green

Our little girl was born June 21, 2011, weighing 6lbs, 9oz and 21 and a 1/2 inches long. In the hospital, we asked Max what he wanted to name her, and he said in a definitive tone, "Rachel Goat." We decided to go with "Kacie Ekela" (pronounced "eh-KEH-luh"), which is much easier on the ears, and it means "brave and noble".

She looks a lot like Max when he was born, but I can see the subtle differences. Her hair is lighter than his was when he was born. She has less hair than he did. They both have almond-shaped eyes (coming from the Asian genes, I believe)but Kacie has Daddy's nose and Max got mine.
I'm praying for dancer's feet (as Max got Daddy's flat feet).





A newborn's cry is pitiful and precious.

Her feet are not really that long, her booties are just falling off :D
