RRR FUN!

Here are some chunks of the race. Not very good footage, but memories, nonetheless.

This first one was the start of the race. Time starts once we get on the ski lift for a 20 min ride up. Our team rode up together to cheer me on the first leg. Then, they got right back on the ski lift to wait for me at the bottom. The Ski lift guy yelled a bunch of instructions to me and us and I had no idea what he blurted out so I just jumped off and ran down the mountain. 8am in 35 degree weather! It was insane on my knee! But we were all so excited cuz we had no idea the difficulties in store! :)

This is Katie on her first leg, and I think she was the 5th runner of the race… yeah, it was straight up hill half the leg (which was not accurately described on the course map)…. so needless to say, she was dying!

And here's Emily at I think about 10pm. Another leg inaccurately described. Instead of 5.8 miles it was 6.2 and straight up hill the WHOLE WAY… on a dirt road, where every team's van kicked up dust in the runners' faces as they drove by. So, you're running uphill and eating dirt in the dark. And this was after she had ran 7 miles early the same day. Good times.
