Maxwell is "Green"

Last night while putting Max to bed, he asked me to tell him a story. So I did. This usually entails the many things that Maxwell can do as a "big boy" …like using the potty… and sleeping all night in his "big boy" bed, etc. After I finished, he asked me to tell him a story about "fans." (Remember his obsession with fans? Esp. air conditoning unit fans?) So I recapped our walk to see all our town home fans that day…

"Once upon a time, a boy named Maxwell Kapono Green loved to check on all of 'his' fans down the road to make sure they were working right. He loved to see them whether they were off or on… one fan was on, two fans were on, three fans were on…"

-- "Mommy!" (he interrupted)

"Yes?"

"Why the black fans were off today when it's hot outside?" (He was referring to some air conditioning units' fans that were not spinning while we visited them)

"Well… sometimes people leave their fans off because they don't need them on while they are not home."

"OoooOOOOOoooh… I don wan wase powuh huh mommy!"

(A proud mommy moment for my two year old)!

Way to go green Max!

You're awesome Jess. Why does life have to be so busy? Where do you live again? Perhaps we can take the kids to the park one morning soon.
