It's true. My addiction started the day I found the blog world. At first, my blogging habits began innocently… blogging here and there, and mainly just to journal my thoughts and express some opinions I wanted feedback on.
But then...my habit got worse.
I started blogging not only late into the evening, but also in the morning. And as they say, you KNOW you've got a problem when your addiction beckons you in the morning! The worst part is??…
DOH! *covering face in shame*... I don't even update my blog as much as I could… instead… and this is a tough one, guys… I. read. others' blogs constantly! THERE, I SAID IT! And not only THAT!… no, not only that, folks, I read my friends' friends' blogs too!!!!!! oh, the agony, of this confession!
YES, BEK, I think Mikey is hilarious and that Amber is just as incredibly cute and funny as you are (okay, I don't read theirs religiously, but still!)…YES, DAISY, I love your photography blog of other people and your recipe blog of yummy goodness… YES, AMALIE, I spy on the Hawaii friends as well through your private blog!… YES, KATHY, we've never met and I live to write like you and be your best friend (okay, minus the bf part) and have committed every blogging stalker crime there is with yours and a lot of your friends' blogs! (disclaimer: I don't know if I've really committed any crimes but my conscience tells me I have morally, not fo-realz lawfully. And by morally, I just mean I'm a blog blob and in my book, that's a crime). Also, I had to confess to one my best friends, whose blog I'd check multiple times a day to see if she had updated it yet, that I had a "problem" since she put up one of those darned site monitor thingys and would soon catch on to my ways!
It's time for an intervention, people! I hereby, commit to blog-stalking only once a day (for starters) and do more productive things like sleeping when I should be or running around the kitchen with my 2 year old even if he's exhausted me with ring-around-the-rosies, playing with elmo, see-sawing on my legs, or playing "airplane" all AFTER a long day's work. (P.S. If you have a toddler… don't ever teach them anything new unless you feel like doing it with them a hundred times a day).
Here goes! Wish me luck, guys. No wait. That'll just mean you, too, think I am pathetic.
Whatever, I am sap. Wish me luck.

seriously we should start a blogaholic club. I am always looking at blogs that are 'friends of friends'. I half form blogs in my head all day. so, let me know how it goes, I know I should spend less of my free time reading blogs!
Jess- you are so funny and real. Nice confession!
Is interesting, I have a list of blogs under my bookmarks button, they are good blogs, and good people, but sometimes scares me how easy is to get in other peoples lives just with one click, you know what I mean? We are invited to their kitchens and bedrooms without even knowing them, and they don't know we know them...ha-ha
I love reading other blogs, when I have time, so unfortunately not too often.
Starting last October I decided I'll check my e-mail and Facebook account TWICE a day. One day I got really frustrated because Dallin didn't let me sit and read in peace (like I wanted) and I realize when he started crying that he needed me more than this "other people" that was my wake up call.
Once a day is a high goal, but totally reachable! Good luck Chismosa :)
PS: stilll wondering who is one of your best friends :)
hahaha! when i think of the hours wasted on blogging, i want to hide my face in shame as well! and i think my friends are hilarious too! that includes you!
Oh sister, you are definitely not alone! I have yet to meet an honest blogging girl who was not a stalker herself...it just comes with the territory :)
Amen Sista. I am right there with you, although having a full time job with no access to blogs has straightened me out a bit. When a friend introduced me to bloglines (a place where you can keep all of your RSS feeds) it helped me tremendously. I never had to check to see if friends (or others, wink) had updated. And they were always waiting when I had a free minute. I admire you for your goal! Good luck. And if you ever have an official Blogaholic Anonymous meeting, please send me an invite!
