I see "feeeeees!"

Have I mentioned this before?--That my son has an honest-to-goodness obsession with fans? It's true. Ceiling fans, oscillating fans, wheels that look similar to fans, you name it. At least 20 times a day, every day, he will ask me or my husband to take him outside to visit as many air conditioning units as he can outside the town home complex we live in. His plea...

"Mama, I see fees. Peez, I see fees ah side?" ...which translates to: "Mother, could you be so kind to escort me to my precious fans outside... I must tend to them and make sure all is well." To which I reply "Okay, later, after...blah blah blah" although, I'm sure he'd love to hear, "Yes, master max, as you wish... I am here to appease your every aching whim. "

So, basically, his routine is as follows. A fan or "fee" check is in order on each outing to the ac condensers. The fan must be spinning inside each condenser (which is visible from the top). If it is NOT spinning, Max then has to check the back of the ac condenser and tug on and twist tubes and hoses to see if he can't fix it. At this point I try to remain patient and remind him that doing this will not make the fan spin again. Seriously? It's just easier to lie to him and tell him it's "broken." And he's fine with this answer and will continue on to the next. (P.s. Lying to your children is okay when it comes to keeping your sanity intact. :P)

We try to limit his visits to "the fees" to about 2 times a day, 20-30 mins each visit. BELIEVE ME when I say that this is "limiting" considering how fierce his obsession is. My husband and I would go bonkers if we tried to cut back any more.

While I don't have any pics of max and the ac units yet, here are some pics of our recent trip to see cousins in Spanish Fork. As you can imagine, Maxwell's greatest dream came true once he saw the windmills out there!! :)
He exclaimed, "ooOOOOooooh, feeeees, big fees!"

Love it. I love that every kid, especially little boys seem to have their own little bizarre obsession; so different one to the next. So cute.
