Mr. Independent and a mommy's vow...

Now walking, talking, running, jumping, climbing, and refusing, my baby Maxwell is no longer the very little, fragile, helpless baby he once was. Nor is he as dependent. He wants to do things on his own. Sure, he still does the pointing and whining for something because he can't talk in full sentences yet, but when it comes to say... eating??...

he is completely Mr. "No,-I-wanna-do-it-all-by-myself-or-else-I-won't-eat-it-and-I'll-scream-in-your-ear-to-teach-you-a-lesson" Big Man.

So, I've learned my lesson, ladies and gents! And I vow, here and now,...brown cow...that I shant squelch my little boy's voice or efforts any longer!...no matter how tempting the urge to prevent inevitable messes becomes! Yes, I shall resist the inner voice that beckons me on to "speed things up." Hark! I will allow him power to conquer and defeat!...and he shall prevail!...even if it IS just over a bowl of cheerios and chopped banana... or a whole fillet of fish.

(This video is lengthy. I don't have a program to edit yet... but there are a couple of things that make me laugh in the end, so I enjoy the whole thing).

Oh my goodness, he truly is a darling, Jess. He is adorable. Isn't it amazing how every day you love them more, no matter how impossible that seems, and how messy your days can get?
Now this is so weird but I love the sound of food being chewed in a baby's mouth...it will make me sick if I get to see and heard the same in normal big people...I said - it was weird...
I love how he says bye, bye!

Well he did enjoy his fish. I noticed that after he made a mess, he went for a cloth to clean it up, but said bye bye before he got to it. Granny Lynne is a proud Grandma.
